The Libyan-African Aviation Holding Company has asked the authorities in Libya to assume their responsibilities and take the necessary steps to secure airports and facilities and protect aircraft at Libyan airports.

In a statement posted on their official Facebook page, the company denounced the rocket attack on Libyan Airlines plane at Mitiga International Airport, which was ready to take off on Thursday morning and led to the cancellation of the service that day.

According to the statement, the airport came under a rocket attack on Wednesday night, and the Special Deterrent Force, which is based at the airport, accused the Brigade 33 of the attack, while latter has denied this and accused others for the unrest in Tripoli.
