The Minister of Transport of the Presidential Council, Milad Maatouq, discussed with the British Ambassador to Libya, Frank Baker, the possibility of facilitating the procedures for granting visas to students and trainees in the Libyan transport sector.

Baker expressed the willingness of his country as a member of the European Aviation Safety Agency, to consider lifting the air embargo on Libyan companies to fly over European airspace, according to the Office of Information of the Ministry.

He also affirmed his country's support for cooperation in the field of training in the transport and communications sector.

The two sides also discussed the access of UK investors in the fields of railways and metro, ports and airports, as well as the possibility of supporting transit trade between Asia and Africa through investment within Libya.
