Libya and Tunisia have agreed to form a joint committee to oversee the land and sea joint borders, Libya's Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed on Wednesday.

The ministry said on Facebook that the matter was raised during a meeting with the Tunisian ambassador, Al-Assaad Al-Ajili, on Tuesday.

Also at the meeting was the Director of the Arab Affairs Department, the Chairman of the Land and Maritime Border Committee, the Director of the Military Affairs Office at the Foreign Ministry, and representatives from the National Oil Corporation, the General Staff, and the Border Guards.

The officials touched upon the bilateral relations and means of developing them, besides discussing the difficulties facing the progress of cooperation.
