The Tunisian Customs General Administration on Thursday hosted a meeting between officials of the customs services from Libya and Tunisia to discuss the activation of the joint customs transit between the two countries.

A statement by the Libyan Customs Authority said that the two sides discussed the latest developments in implementing the measures agreed upon during the recent meeting in Djerba between the Director-General of Libyan Customs, Suleiman Ali Salem, and his Tunisian counterpart.

The agreement aims to facilitate the movement of passengers through the crossing borders and ensure the smooth flow of goods and commodities between the two sides, according to the statement.

It is noteworthy that the Libyan delegation included the Director of the General Department for Combating Smuggling and Drugs, the Head of the Ras Ajdir Border Customs Center, the Director of the Technical Department, and the Director of the International Cooperation Office in the Authority.
