The head of the Tunisian Observatory for Human Rights, Mustafa Abdel Kabir, said in a press statement on Tuesday that the Wazen-Dahaiba border crossing between Tunisia and Libya will soon be reopened.

Abdel Kabir stressed that coordination is continuous between the Tunisian and Libyan sides in order to find an agreement to reopen the crossing as soon as possible, adding that a memorandum of understanding is being drafted that requires certain actions in case of any future problems.

He pointed out that the Libyan side calls for the drafting of a common law on the movement of goods at the crossing to be applied in the event of any future problems to avoid future closure of the border.
