The Libyan file was among the primary files discussed between Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu and his Russian counterpart, Sergey Lavrov.

The two top diplomats met on Wednesday in the Turkish capital, Ankara, to discuss major issues in the international arena, including the situation in Libya, Syria, and Ukraine.

Upon the meeting, the ministers held a press conference in which they stressed the need to maintain long-term stability in Libya, work on preparing the constitution, and head for free and fair elections.
