Foreign Minister, Mohamed Siyala and his Tanzanian counterpart, Augustine Mahiga, have agreed to make arrangements for Tanzania to pay its debts to Libya on the sidelines of the African Summit held in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa late last January.

The Foreign Ministry's Information Office said in an official communique that Siyala had agreed with Mahiga to start repaying the Libyan state's financial dues and to agree to a Libyan government delegation to make arrangements for the repayment of loans borrowed from Libya in previous years.
