Foreign Minister Najla Al-Manqoush phoned on Wednesday her Tunisian counterpart Othman Jerandi to review the situation in Tunisia with regard to combating the series of forest fires that broke out in several Tunisian provinces.

A statement by Libya's Foreign Ministry said Wednesday that Al-Manqoush expressed the sympathy and solidarity of the Libyan people with their brothers in Tunisia, stressing Libya's readiness to assist in countering the wildfires there.

The two sides also reviewed the epidemiological situation in both countries and exchanged experiences and visions of best practices and measures to contain the epidemic.

More and above, they discussed means to strengthen relations of cooperation in various fields in a manner that serves the common interests of the two nations, according to the Foreign Ministry.
