The UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network has released its 2022 World Happiness Report, which determines the happiest nations worldwide.

Libya made it to the 86th place in the global ranking and 5th in the Arab world in the 10th edition of the happiness index, which ranks 146 states.

Finland topped the list for the fifth year in succession, Denmark ranked second, Iceland third, Switzerland fourth, the Netherlands fifth, while Afghanistan came dragging last for the second year in a row.

Based on several determinants, the report gives the countries scores from 0 to 10, taking into account the GDP, social support, personal freedom, levels of corruption, and people's perspective.

The study uses the average data collected over three years and a mathematical equation.
