Libya will pay 20 to 25% of its financial dues to health institutions in Jordan and Turkey, says the Health Ministry, provided that the concerned countries accept to conclude new treatment contracts and receive new Libyan patients at its hospitals.

The Committee for the Review and Approval of Treatment Debts Abroad reviews and scrutinizes debts of overseas treatment, including hospitals accommodation, in addition to preparing accurate accounting reports in preparation for negotiation, providing a database, and approving or amending any previously taken measures, according to the Health Ministry.

The committee briefed Health Minister Ali Al-Zanati on the outcomes of its meetings held during the past days in Turkey and Jordan to review the debts owed by the Libyan state in preparation for their payment, the Health Ministry said.
