Libya's mission to the United Nations attended a session for the UN disarmament and international security commission, as the Libyan diplomat, Jumua Fares, reiterated that the halt of the spread of arms is a responsibility for all parties.

Fares said the Libyan Government of National Unity is committed to peaceful solutions to the crisis and is always ready to take a positive approach to all peace initiatives, adding that the international community remains committed to resolve the Libyan conflict and to prove beyond doubt and away from political disputes that the solution is a Libyan-led and Libyan-owned one.

Fares hoped that the UN commission would approve practical recommendations to achieve international peace and security.
