Foreign Minister Mohammed Siyala has offered Libya's condolences to Turkey over the killing of more than ten military personnel in a helicopter crash on Thursday.

The media office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that Siyala immediately offered his condolences in a telephone call with Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusogluon and expressed solidarity with Turkey for this "painful accident."

11 Turkish soldiers died and two others injured when the helicopter they were traveling on crashed near the village of Cekmece southeast of Turkey. The defense ministry said the crash was accidental.
