Sirte Oil and Gas Company said Saturday it had starting production in a new natural gas well that had been linked to gas factory at Al-Istiklal field.
The company added in a statement that the well would produce 6 million square feet of natural gas on a daily basis, leading to a partial relief in gas demand.
The company also said the well was dug in 2007 but had only been linked to the factory lately after forming a working team of production and maintenance workers in cooperation with the rest of departments of the company.
