A patrol of the Libyan Navy has rescued 70 illegal immigrants, including seven children, 11 women, and 52 men, during a routine tour in the Libyan maritime areas, the Information Office of the Naval Staff said.

The patrol intercepted the boat after spending three days in the sea, with 70 migrants on board who were in danger due to bad weather.

The migrants were disembarked at the Bouri Offshore Field located 120 kilometers north of the Libyan coast before being transferred to the Naval Base in Tripoli.

Teams at the landing point provided the migrants with humanitarian and medical aid before they were handed over to the illegal immigration authorities, according to the Libya Navy.
