The Italian Foreign Minister, Angelino Alfano, has called on all actors in Libya to engage in the dialogue process and efforts to bring stability to the country.

 Alfano reaffirmed his country's support for the action plan of the UN envoy to Libya, Ghassan Salama, to overcome the Libyan crisis during a meeting with Vice Chairman of the Presidential Council, Ahmed Maitiq, on the sidelines of the third Med-Mediterranean Dialogues in Rome.

He also condemned all forms of violence, stressing at the same time the importance of activating the bilateral economic partnership, with reference to the initiatives presented by Italy in the field of capacity building, development and cooperation in the field of infrastructure, and in particular the reconstruction of Tripoli International Airport.
