The Libyan-Italian committee for fighting illegal immigration, human trafficking and fuel smuggling has discussed amending the memorandum of understanding signed between the two countries in February 2017.

The meeting, which was held at the headquarters of the Anti-Illegal Migration Agency in Tripoli, was attended by the Head of the Agency, Al-Mabrouk Abdelahfid, Italy’s Ambassador to Libya, Giuseppe Buccino and a number of Officials from both sides.

The Committee agreed to form a sub-committee to set up a plan to address the illegal immigration.
