The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Omar Keti on Tuesday reviewed with the Italian Ambassador to Libya Giuseppe Buccino preparations for the second meeting of the Libyan-Italian Joint Committee scheduled for next month.

The two countries will activate during the Libyan-Italian committee meeting several memoranda of understanding in various sectors, the most important of which are electricity and transportation.

Keti emphasized the need for the Italian companies to return to Libya and complete the suspended projects, notably, the coastal road of (Imsaed - Al-Marj) and the Tripoli International Airport, saying that it will contribute to the return of international airlines to Libya.

He also stressed the importance of Italy's role in supporting the Libyan state in combating illegal immigration, especially in light of expectations of an increase in the number of immigrants due to the instability of the situation in some source countries.
