Minister of Economy and Industry Nasser Al-Dirsi confirmed that an agreement was initialed with Russia to supply wheat to serve as a strategic stock in the long term.

In an interview with the Russian RT channel on Saturday, Al-Dirsi added that it is necessary to draw on the experience of Morocco, Tunisia and Algeria and to build a grain court to ensure that there will be no shortage of wheat, the main food of the Libyan people.

In another context, Al-Dirsi announced a joint investment project between Libya and Russia through the construction of railways, because Libya lacks a road network that links the major cities together, as he put it.
