Minister of Transport Mohamed Al-Shoubi reviewed with the President of the Council of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) the steps of the Libyan government towards lifting the ban on Libyan air companies.

Al-Shoubi met the ICAO official, the Regional Director for the Middle East at the International Civil Aviation Organization, and the regional expert on aviation safety on the sidelines of the Future of Aviation Conference held in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday.

They discussed the safety of aviation and airports in Libya, as well as the resumption of air traffic to some Arab and European destinations.

The talks also touched on mechanisms to support Libya in lifting restrictions imposed on Libyan air traffic over European airspace, in addition to raising the efficiency and capabilities of workers in the field of air safety and aviation security.
