The representative of the Libyan Mission to the United Nations handed over the Bulgarian representative to the UN a copy of the Bulgarian Supreme Court ruling in favour of Libya regarding the carrier Badr.

In the meeting held Thursday in New York, the Bulgarian representative described what happened with the Libyan vessel as a crime of kidnapping and piracy, promising to communicate with the Bulgarian authorities, in order to resolve the issue, according to the Libyan Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Bulgarian Supreme Administrative Court ruled on December 21 to release the tanker Badr and hand it over to its original owner, the Libyan National Shipping Company.
