The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the election of Libya on Monday as the Vice President of General Conference of International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) for the African continent.

The Ministry said in a statement that the election came during the morning session of the 64th session of the conference held in Vienna, adding that the session witnessed the election of Morocco as the President of the General Conference.

The Ministry indicated in its statement that the IAEA is organizing, in conjunction with the General Conference, a scientific event on several topics related to nuclear technology and science.
