The Libyan ambassador to Italy, Omar Al-Tarhouni, held discussions with Italian officials on methods to facilitate the granting of visas to citizens from both countries and to also expedite procedures for Libyan diplomats in their capacity of working in diplomatic missions in Italy.

The meeting also touched on procedures for facilitating the granting of medical visas for those seeking treatment and wounded citizens, along with urgent cases arriving at Italian ports by Air Ambulance, according to the official account of the Libyan embassy in Italy.

It is worth noting that the Government of National Unity has strengthened its diplomatic efforts and ties with the Italian side also in an attempt to resume flights between both countries, with the granting of appropriate visas.
