A delegation from the Libyan Interior Ministry visited Brazil to coordinate with the Brazilian authorities to restore some antiquities smuggled from Libya.

The Ministry said on Facebook that the visit is part of following up on cases related to antiquities seized by the Brazilian authorities as per the instructions of the Interior Ministry to preserve Libyan culture.

It said that the delegation and Brazilian authorities discussed security cooperation, including fighting drugs by joint coordination between the Libyan and Brazilian relevant authorities via Arab and international police apparatuses, adding that the delegation also met with security leaders in Brazil in the presence of Libyan chargé d'affaires in Brazil.
