The Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of China to Libya discussed with the Chairman of the Presidential Council Fayez Al-Sarraj during a meeting Tuesday the desire of Chinese companies to resume work in Libya and to activate and strengthen the cooperation between the two countries.

The Chinese diplomat delivered to Al-Sarraj an official invitation from Chinese President Xi Jinping to visit China and discuss bilateral relations, in addition to take part in the upcoming China-Africa Cooperation Forum in China, according to the Information Office of the Presidential Council.

Al-Sarraj, in turn, stressed that Libya is open to Chinese companies and is looking forward to restoring the momentum of the relations between the two countries and develop joint cooperation to encompass new areas, noting that the committee set up by his government to follow up the projects that Chinese companies were implementing has shown positive results.
