Foreign Minister of Presidential Council Mohammed Siyala discussed with the Canadian Foreign Minister the possibility of reopening the Canadian Embassy in Tripoli, the Director of Information Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ahmad Al-Arbad told Sputnik.

Al-Arbad clarified that the two sides discussed ways to strengthen cooperation between the two countries in the fields of oil, gas, energy, and education, in addition to training programs for Libyan youth in all scientific disciplines.

Siyala invited his Canadian counterpart to visit Tripoli, calling on Canadian companies, officials, investors and businessmen to contribute to the reconstruction and development programs in Libya.
