The Joint Libyan-Italian Technical Committee for Economic Cooperation has agreed to begin works related to the construction of a coastal motorway, linking the east and west of Libya, due to start in the spring of 2021.
This came during a virtual meeting held on Thursday, in coordination with the Information Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Both sides discussed the wherewithal of solving the problem of previous debts owed to various Italian companies by the Libyan state and the prospect of resuming flights between both countries.
