The Libyan Foreign Minister, Mohamed Sayala, held discussions by phone with his Algerian counterpart Sabri Boukadoum, during which they discussed bilateral relations between both countries and methods to improve joint cooperation across the board.

According to a statement by the Libyan Foreign Ministry, both parties discussed the present political process in Libya and the election of the new executive authority.

Boukadoum reaffirmed his country’s eagerness to support the peace process in Libya and to achieve stability and security in the region.

The discussion also dealt with developing further cooperation between the two countries, emphasizing desire of both countries for the continued exchange of professional skills, particularly in the field of electricity.
