The Libyan Investment Authority (LIA) has condemned the storming of the Libyan Foreign Investment Company (LAFICO) HQ in Tripoli.

"The raid took place at a time when everyone was busy pursuing an important investment contract with the company Lakeside in Egypt," LIA said in a statement Tuesday.

The LIA accused some members of the Board of Directors of having a hand in the incident, noting that the Board of Directors is keen to take all legal procedures to protect the assets of the institution and its subsidiaries and to stop such irresponsible actions, according to the statement.
