The French newspaper Le Monde has reported that Paris officially demonstrates its support to the Government of National Accord based in Tripoli, while under the table it is actually backing Haftar.
The newspaper said that France must move away from double standards and line up with the EU to develop a stronger position.
It added that Europe has no choice but to join forces in order to solve the Libyan crisis and prevent a civil war on the doorstep of Europe.
"The Berlin Summit was far from ending the bloody war between the GNA and the rebel reader, Haftar," Le Monde added.
