The Libyan Crimes Watch (LCW) called on Haftar's forces to immediately disclose the fate of four elderly people who have been subjected to enforced disappearance in Benghazi since 2017.

In a statement, the LCW deplored the crimes committed against the elderly, clarifying that Haftar's forces did not disclose the places of their detention and their families were not allowed to visit them or call on a lawyer. It warned that such practices amount to a war crime.

The organization appealed to the UN mission and the Security Council to assume their responsibilities and form a fact-finding committee, in order to investigate these serious human rights violations.
