The member of the Libyan American Council for Public Affairs (LAPAC), Emadeddin Zahri Muntasser, has appealed to the International Criminal Court and other world organizations to save Libya in general and the city of Sabratha in particular.

In a letter addressed to the ICC chief prosecutor, Fatou Bensouda, Muntasser, he called on the ICC to warn the warring groups in Sabratha of the consequences of exposing to archaeological site of the city to danger, urging Bensouda to investigate the damage inflicted the city.

“In recent days, the ancient Roman city and World Heritage Site of Sabratha is slowly getting destroyed by crazed warlords and ideological fanatics. This glorious city which witnessed human history and progress for several thousand years may not be around for much longer”. The letter reads.
