The UN Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) has renewed its warning about the presence of landmines and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) in south Tripoli.

UNSMIL said in a tweet that civilians are still at risk due to the mines and IEDs in areas that witnessed armed confrontations south of Tripoli.

It urged civilians to stay away and not to touch unknown objects and remnants of war for their safety, advising them to inform the authorities about any strange objects.
