The labour and interior ministries agreed to establish a technical committee to regulate foreign labour in Libya.

The ministers of interior and labour discussed in a meeting Thursday, entry controls of foreign labour, as well as procedures to regularize their stay in the country, in coordination with the relevant authorities.

They also emphasized the importance of developing an appropriate mechanism in line with international laws and charters and the need for the Egyptian and Nigerien labour in covering the shortage in the local market, according to the needs identified by the Ministry of Labor and Rehabilitation.
