The spokesman for the Municipal Council of Kufra Abdullah Sulaiman confirmed the release of the men abducted from the city by an armed group without paying any ransom.
"Their release came after mediation conducted by good people from the region," Sulaiman said in a press statement, confirming that the abductees have returned to their families and are in good condition.
Kufra Municipal Council has condemned the recent incident of kidnapping, which included locals from the city, and the terrorizing of innocent civilians, calling on the security forces in Kufra to take all measures to establish security in the city, and to provide adequate protection to citizens and property.
