The Head of the Presidential Council (PC), Mohammed Menfi, confirmed the total commitment of the new executive authority to the results of the Geneva discussions in terms of support for national reconciliation and the building of solid foundations and seeking to unify all institutions, along with support for the United Nations (UN) tracks for follow up work of the 5+5 Joint Military Committee.
This came during a meeting which was held in Tripoli on Monday between the Head of the PC, along with his two deputies, and the Special Envoy of the Secretary General of the UN to Libya Jan Kubis, who confirmed, during the meeting the UN’s support for stability in Libya and the political solution reached by the Geneva talks in order to attain fair elections on December 24 of this year.
