The besieging forces of the city of Derna from Dignity Operation have kidnapped the head of the ambulance and emergency services of the city.
Akram Swaini, was kidnapped when he left the city to replenish basic emergency supplies. A source close to the Swaini family said that he was kidnapped near Azeyat area south of Derna, with his destination more than likely being Qirnada Prison.
Civil society organizations have described this abduction and the continuation of kidnappings and arrests based on a person’s identity as a disgrace and appealed to the responsible authorities in the country to intervene and end the crisis facing the citizens of Derna.
