Kazakhstan has interrupted the work of three airlines for violating the arms embargo imposed on Libya.
The Kazakhstani government stated that the airplanes of the three companies, which organized flights to Libya from a ‘third party’ country, are foreign-owned.
It clarified that they are registered with the United Arab Emirates and the British Virgin Islands, noting that the ‘goods’ transported aboard are not controlled by Kazakhstan, however, they are in fact controlled by government agencies in foreign countries in which the flights are carried out, as would be the norm in these circumstances.
