A plenary session of the general assembly of the General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL), on Wednesday, set the date of July 19 for holding two general assembly meetings, the first being to consider amending some regulations of the company’s articles and the second, to choose a new board of directors.

The general assembly, at its session, which was chaired by the Head of the Presidential Council (PC), Fayez Al-Sarraj, approved the company’s budget, along with the procedure of selecting a new chairman and various other board of director members, in order to ensure transparency in the selection process, according to a statement by the Media Office of the Government of National Accord.
