The Libyan Judicial Officers Association condemned in a statement Tuesday the threat against the head of the Seventh Criminal Chamber of Benghazi Court of Appeal, Fatima Al Masri, by a group of armed men.

The statement described the incident as an "immoral and criminal act and a lawless behaviour," demanding the immediate arrest of those involved.

It also called on the Supreme Judicial Council to convene an extraordinary and emergency meeting in order to put an end to such violations and develop legal and enforcement frameworks to provide adequate security protection for members of judicial bodies.
