The Joint Force held discussions at a meeting on Sunday, regarding the possibility of handing over the security tasks of protecting electrical stations, which have already been restored, to the ‘Electric Police’, allowing the Joint Force the freedom to continue its objectives.

The Force stated on its official Facebook page that its duties include protecting ‘field teams’, working in difficult conditions to maintain and repair faulty current transmission networks, high voltage lines and generating stations, which were destroyed during the aggression on Tripoli.

Representative of the General Electricity Company of Libya (GEOCL) welcomed the Joint Force’s proposal, reaffirming its support for any and all measures which would facilitate the protection of electrical technicians.
