Members of the Joint Military Committee 5+5 (JMC) are to meet in Geneva between 6-8 October to discuss the withdrawal of mercenaries and foreign forces from Libya, Major General Faraj Al-Sawa, a JMC member representing Khalifa Haftar's forces, has said.

Earlier, JMC member Major General Al-Fituri Ghribel from the Libyan army confirmed that there would be a new round of talks in Geneva at the end of this week to discuss pressing issues, most notably getting mercenaries and foreign forces out of the country.

According to Ghribel, the UN mission and other international parties will be present at the Geneva meeting, denying that the committee's meeting in Tripoli last Tuesday had set a date for the mercenaries' withdrawal.
