The Italian Foreign Minister, Luigi Di Maio, said it was necessary for his country to protect the outcomes of the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum (LPDF) from local and foreign interventions, stressing the need to avoid any manipulation of the LPDF outcomes.

Di Maio, who made the remarks while he was visiting Jordan to meet with his Jordanian counterpart on Sunday, said Italy was keen on transparency in dealing with the LPDF outcomes.

Meanwhile, The Italian Prime Minister, Giuseppe Conte, said Friday in a meeting with the Head of the Presidential Council, Fayez Al-Sarraj, in Rome that Rome "continues to support dialogue for Libya to have a peaceful transition of power that will benefit all Libyans."
