Italian Foreign Minister, Luigi Di Maio emphasized on Wednesday the need for a clear message from the US regarding Libya, stressing that there is no military solution to the Libyan crisis.

"We need the US more than ever before," Di Maio told The Associated Press.

"All actors involved in this proxy war should receive a clear message from the United States that intervention, including sending weapons to Libya, must stop by agreeing to a permanent cease-fire," he added.
