The Italian Ministry of Interior stated that 6161 illegal immigrants have been landed on the Italian coasts since the beginning of 2018, and that this number is 62.06% less than those who had landed in the same period in 2017.
The Italian media outlet AKI said that the Italian Interior Ministry’s statement showed that 4399 of immigrants originated from the Libyan route and that number is 71.73% less than the same period in 2017, and 66.12% less than in 2016.
