Italy has provided the Libyan Ministry of Interior equipment for the General Directorate of Coastal Security, including a mobile maintenance workshop, spare parts for boats and marine parts, in addition to mobile administrative offices.
This comes in accordance with the agreements concluded between the two sides, the Ministry said.
In the meantime, the Italian Nova news agency quoted a source saying that this comes within the framework of the European “Supporting the Integrated Border and Migration Management in Libya (SBIMIL)” project, funded by the European Emergency Trust Fund worth 42 million euros.
