The Italian Ambassador to Libya, Giuseppe Buccino, has declared his country’s readiness to provide specialized teams and equipment to help clear mines laid by Haftar militias as they fled from areas in southern Tripoli.

This information came during a meeting between Buccino and the head of the High Council of State (HCS), Khalid Al-Mishri in Tripoli on Monday, according to the Media Office of the HCS.

The two parties also discussed the consequences of the war on Tripoli and the severe damage caused to infrastructure and civilian homes. Al-Mishri appreciated and valued Italy’s step and expressed his hope of boosting bilateral cooperation between both countries.
