Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte renewed his call to Haftar's forces to immediately end the attack on Tripoli and return to their bases.

Conte confirmed in a telephone conversation with Chairman of the Presidential Council (PC) Fayez Al-Sarraj that there is no military solution to the crisis in Libya and that his country will make every effort to end the dispute and stop the bloodshed of the Libyans.

For his part, Al-Sarraj said that the Libyan army will stand firm to defend the choice of the Libyan people in establishing a civil state, emphasizing that the fighting will continue until the aggressor forces withdraw and return to where they came from.
