Italian Prime Minister, Giuseppe Conte, announced his country's readiness to sponsor reconciliation in Libya during the Palermo International Conference to be held in November.

"Italy does not have the solution to all the problems in Libya, but is ready to stimulate the process of stabilization for the benefit of the Libyan people," Conte said in his address to the Italian Senate on Tuesday.

The Italian Foreign Minister Enzo Melanesi said that member states and EU institutions have affirmed their commitment to pursuing joint and interrelated efforts to achieve security in Libya.
