The Libyan authorities postponed the granting of travel visas to members of the Italian mission located in the city of Misrata, canceled two flights on January 5 and 11, prevented the arrival of supplies coming from Italy, and prohibited Italian soldiers from wearing military uniforms or carrying weapons, according to Italian media sources.

According to the same sources, an Italian soldier said that “Libyan security units entered the mission’s armory and photographed the military equipment and weapons inside, putting the mission’s units at risk”.

The Italian Senator, Petro Giacomo considered such “acts” as underestimation of the Italian army, criticizing the authorities of his country for not paying any attention to these “acts”.
