The head of the Italian Foreign Intelligence Service, Alberto Manenti has questioned the capability of Italy to organize an international conference on Libya, according to the Italian newspaper "La Repubblica".

"The Italian diplomatic move is fraught with improvisation, and the task to organize the Palermo conference in November is daunting،" the newspaper quoted Manenti as saying.

The newspaper said that the credibility of the foreign policy of Rome is at stake because it is obliged to bring the opposing sides and the states concerned to the same table.
